Commercial shampoo can be diluted to as much as half the strength without reducing the ability to clean the hair. Add water to the shampoo to make it last longer to save money on the costs of the shampoo. Do not think twice about this technique since you most likely dilute your fabric softener when you do laundry, it is the same concept.
Create a homemade dry shampoo with baby powder for the times you are not able to wash your hair or are in a hurry. Apply the baby powder to your hair and brush vigorously to remove the powder. It absorbs the oils in the hair for quick pick-me-up for the hair.
